Welcome

I warmly welcome you to my site. I am an experienced Counsellor and Cognitive Hypnotherapist. I am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). My Practice is based in Rickmansworth, a welcoming environment to ensure comfort and ease.

I draw upon extensive training including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Hypnotherapy. I also work with psycho sensory therapeutic approaches including Havening and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Clients seek therapy when they realise it’s time to make changes in their lives, but often struggle with how to make this happen. So often people expect themselves to just get on with it, sometimes preferring not to ask for help, judging themselves as weak if they can’t cope. The opposite of course is true. Asking for support can be the hardest step to take but once taken can lead to a very different way of viewing and experiencing life. I help enable people to challenge unhelpful ways of thinking that inhibit and limit their own potential. Instead we work together to break free of existing beliefs that hold a person back from truly living a fully satisfying and empowered life.

I am passionate about my work and am wholly committed to providing therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental setting. I am also in supervision for my work, in which client information that is discussed is strictly confidential too.

EXPERIENCE

I qualified in Person Centred Counselling in 2007, then continued with training gaining an Advanced Diploma in C.B.T. in 2009 followed by Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP Practitioner Certificate in 2011.

Throughout my training and beyond I worked at The Women’s Centre and Signpost Youth Counselling Agency in Watford. I also currently volunteer as a Bereavement Visitor.

I work with clients both young people aged 14 upwards and adults who bring a variety of issues whether stemming from the past or in the present. I specialise helping clients experiencing anxiety and stress and am very experienced working with students who struggle with exam nerves and procrastination. In addition to helping clients resolve fears and phobias.
